Advice from real life moms!

“It goes by fast. Just breathe and take it all in…the good, the bad, and the ugly. The days are long, but the years are short. Enjoy every minute.”

Michelle, mom of 2

“Parenting is a constant learning experience. Listen, watch, and soak up all you can, then use that to do what works best for you and your family. Ignore it, use it, or tweak it as you go-just do what feels right.”

Lynda, Mom of 5

“Remember practice makes progress. You will learn along with your children everyday”.

Krystal, Mom of 1

“The birth of a baby is also the birth of a mother, be kind to yourself as you are also new and learning.”

Alyssa, Mom of 1

“Always remember it won’t be like this for long. It will help you get through those tough times. It will help you appreciate the small moments and you will be able to cherish life with your child so much more.”

Jamie, Mom of 1

“Don’t make “no” your default. Children hear the word “no” too often. To fill their “power bucket”, embrace their ideas whenever you can! Ask yourself if there is a valid reason for the “no”. I found that I used to say no out of inconvenience or sheer laziness. When I started saying YES more often, I found that my kids were happier and more well-behaved. And I was having fun with them!”

“-Do your best to schedule time alone with your partner, even if it’s date nights ordering take out, and having a glass of wine together after baby goes down.
-zipper pajamas only…never buttons
-sleep train.
-don’t put too much pressure on yourself to breast feed: fed is best…doesn’t matter how your feeding. Plenty of babies are formula fed and do just fine.
-as long as you’re giving your baby lots of love and show up every day, you’re doing your best and you’re doing a great job!
-maintain boundaries and stick to them with family/friends. No one is worth struggling with your mental health when it comes to having young ones.
-take time to yourself. Whether it’s just getting a quick manicure or exercising, whatever makes you happy. But it’s okay to take time for you.”

Sam, Mom of 2
